Confused About Finding Guitar Lessons Online?

There are thousands and thousands of sites that will tell you that they can teach you the guitar in a day.  Is it too good to be true?  Absolutely.  First of all, you can master the basics of guitar in a very short period of time, but you’ll have to practice and commit to whatever lessons you choose if you really want to be good or really improve your skills.  I mean, seriously, do you think Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Eric Clapton, or Bo Diddley just learned guitar in a week or a month?  Of course not!  It takes a long time and a lot of practice to be really good at playing the guitar (or anything else).

These courses will definitely give you the skills you need to be good at the guitar, even if you’re not a musical genius.  And they’re great for any level of musician.  Just starting out? Want to improve? Trying to be the best? This site offers reviews of the best options on the internet, so you don’t have to waste your time.  How do I know it works?  Four years ago I picked up a guitar for the first time (I was 23), and now I’m playing backup in Nashville for all kinds of recording artists.  That’s right, I actually get paid to play the guitar!

I’ve also included some links to sweet deals on guitars if you’re looking to upgrade your instrument, or add another one to your collection!

Feel free to revisit the site, as I’ll update the reviews, guitars, and information as I find it!

Jamplay Review: Changing The Way You Learn to Play Guitar

Jamplay is a new site that is taking over the online guitar lesson industry.  Jamplay is an online guitar course that gives you unlimited access to hundreds of high-quality video guitar lessons for an incredibly low price.

The amount of content on the site is simply staggering. I have never seen a guitar course that has put this much great video content together in one place. Thankfully, the site’s layout is well organized so it’s not at all a problem to find whatever video lessons you are looking for.

With Jamplay, you have many different guitar instructors that teach a wide variety of guitar styles, and do so in a very friendly, yet professional manner. The lessons range in difficulty from easy to advanced, so this course works well with both newbies as well as more experienced guitar players.

Even with the monstrous lesson library Jamplay already has, they are constantly adding more video guitar lessons to their site. Iencourage you to check out a couple of their free video lessons on their site.

WHY YOU’LL IMPROVE

Jamplay currently features over 130+ hours of lesson material from 16 different guitar teachers. That is an awful lot of material to go through, so it may take you a while. They film each lesson in HD (high definition) and with multiple cameras so you can see exactly what the instructor is doing.

With every Jamplay video lesson there’s a range of supplemental material available (lesson write-ups, diagrams, exercises, tablature, etc.) that you can view and/or print if you wish.

Most of the lessons are divided up into 3 categories or phases:

Phase 1: Beginners
Phase 2: Genre Teaching
Phase 3: Learning Songs

Note that Jamplay is not a downloadable course, but an affordable members-only website that contains many hundreds of video guitar lessons. Having said that, it’s nice not to have to download the whole course to your computer before you can actually start using it.

WHAT YOU GET

Constant website updates. (You can view their home page to see what video lessons they’ve recently added)

1. A well organized guitar chord library.
2. You can easily interact with Jamplay’s instructors.
3. Keep track of your progress with Jamplay’s progress reports.
4. You can create a personal profile, meet and make new friends in the Jamplay community. They have a forum, as well as a great live chat interface where you can drop by and talk to Jamplay’s staff as well as fellow students.

Support

Jamplay has many support options available on their site. They have email support, a rapidly-growing forum and community, as well as a very innovative idea: A Video Q&A Section, where they will take a question that was sent to them and turn it into a video lesson. At the time of this review there were over 70 Q&A video guitar lessons.

Ease of Use

The folks at Jamplay have really made their website accessible and easy to use. Everything is laid out exceptionally well. The site itself is huge, but is still easy to navigate.

Please note however, that if you are on dial-up, Jamplay may not be your best option. When viewing videos you can choose the quality level (Low, Medium, or High), but still it might get too annoying when you have to wait a long time for every lesson.

Warranty

Jamplay offers a full money back guarantee. Therefore, if you buy the course, and then decided that you wanted to learn a different instrument, or your internet speed is too slow, you can get a full refund.

Jamplay has several payment options to choose from.
You can pay monthly, ($19.95/month), quarterly (only $12.49/month), as well as yearly (only $9.99/month).

You also have the option of upgrading your payment option or canceling at any time.
Jamplay accepts all major credit cards as well as Paypal.

Check it out!

Jamplay is definitely my top choice for online video guitar lessons. The quality of the lesson material is exceptional, the support is great and the price is affordable. I recommend that you give them a try and see for yourself!
